Gryfice (Kashubian / Pomeranian: Grëfice; German: Greifenberg) is a town in Pomerania, north-western Poland with 16 921 inhabitants. It is the capital of Gryfice County in West Pomeranian Voivodeship (since 1999), previously in Szczecin Voivodeship (1975-1998).

My great grandfather came from a village near here in 1864. August Ramthun was born in Koldemanz (about 4 miles southwest of Gryfice in 1832.
