"Consol" for short, this is College Station's first modern high school (the "Consolidated" part coming from when it consolidated other smaller local schools, and in the mid-1960s, accepted students from the "colored" Lincoln High School after it burned down) (though this was not its original . This two-level building houses around approximately 1700 students (down from a period from where it was pushing close to 3000). The campus first opened in 1972, received additions in the 1970s and 1980s, and extensively renovated and expanded in the late 1990s, and received an interior remodel in the early 2010s.

Comments

  • This school was built in the mid '70s and renovated in the late '90s. It's not very visible in the photo, but the area where the library is now was an open-air courtyard.
  • Found the date, it's 1972
