Seneca High School Magnet Career Academy offers Liberal Arts as the Magnet Program. The Liberal Arts Magnet for Advance and Honors students emphasizes the Humanities, Social and Natural Sciences, and Mathematics in combination with thinking and communication skills to better prepare today’s student for college. The school’s Mathematics/Science/Technology program provides an enhanced foundation for students planning to pursue the study of the sciences. The Urban Agriscience Program, as part of the Magnet Career Academy, explores how agriculture is used in today’s urban society. Students learn business and marketing strategies, floral design, plant science, and environmental issues. Students are required to wear uniforms. Seneca offers 45 hours of college credit through partnerships with local universities and colleges. Extended School Services and English as a Second Language programs are available. Parents are invited and encouraged to participate in all school-related activities, including PTSA, School-Based Decision Making, Booster Club, and various support groups for all academic and extracurricular areas.
