  • I think Save-on has been irresponsible in not putting on their web-site the recall of walnuts from the stores. I made two batches of cookies with these walnuts and had to throw them away. I use butter in baking so it has been an expensive lesson not to shop at you're stores.
  • I shop regularly at Pricemart in Cloverdale , I was there today and spent $ 210.oo . My gripe is teach your checkers to say hi and thank you after I spend my hard earned money, not have a nice day or like today all I got was here you go. This seems to be the norm out there now, not just Pricemart. what ever happened to customer service. I make it a point now to say your welcome when I walk away. Oh and the bagger that glared at me for no reason , have a nice day idiot!
  • After essentially boycotting Save On Foods in Nanaimo for a few years - I decided to return. Quite honestly, I got the same amount of goods by NOT stacking & shopping the flyers @ Thrifty's & Rexall (which allowed me to accumulate Aeroplan miles) or shopping at No Frills & Safeway during my routine trips out of town. Without the ability to stack to bring their prices in line with the real deals - I would never shop at Save On. I am quickly reconsidering my decision to support a store that allows their staff to be rude & unprofessional in every way. I shop for my parents to lighten the load for my father, the primary caregiver of my completely dependent disabled mother. I also contribute food to 2 other needy households. My last grocery bill was nearly $1400. $500 of that was coupons which Save On will be reimbursed for in additional to collecting monies for handling the coupons. A few days later I hear from a fellow couponer about the clerks dissatisfaction with this woman who had "all these groceries and $500 worth of coupons". They lamented over the time consuming task of ringing in this order and commented about how one person could use all that was purchased. The funny thing is - the clerk was forewarned seeing the 2 buggies and shown the envelope of coupons. It was just after lunch - so not like they were about to close. When it was time for the clerk to take a break they simply suspended the order and another carried on - no big deal right? Wrong! In my view - the store is there to sell their garbage - the clerks get an hourly wage & should probably expect to work in order to receive that hourly wage. About 6 months ago I wrote a complaint letter about staff behavior and a couple of errors which is a rare event for me. I did not even receive so much as a phone call. I can only conclude that they dont give a crap about the customers they serve and obviously have zero expectations with regard to professionalism. Give your head a shake SAVE ON - it is not like you are giving anything away and your competitors are within a 5 to 10 minute drive away... all offering some kind of reward incentive to drive business their way. I agree with Bob (guest) - there are a few stores that need to revisit the value of common courtesy.
  • ... and by the way - the monthly medications I was considering moving from Rexall (even with the loss of Aeroplan miles) to SaveOn.... not a frickin chance.
  • i can relate to all these comments... and that is sad sof as a whole is way under par for customer service, the salmon arm store is better than a lot of others i have been to but the vernon store is simply appalling and i have friends who will not even set foot in there due to the way they have been treated in the past. SAVE ON FOODS GIVE YOUR HEAD A SHAKE!!!
  • I'm a regular shopper of Save on Foods and in mid April, 2016 I had to get a new points card, no problem getting it I got a new one immediately, but my points, weren't transferred, I realized this a few days later and went to the store multiple times and they took the information they needed the old card and new card number and told me it would be rectified, it wasn't rectified, so I went back in the store did this again, you don't lose your points, they say we'll fix it, it' been a month and a half now and my point are still not transferred to this card...last time I went in was 2 weeks ago they told me that they would send the information to Head Office as they are the only ones who can rectify this....still nothing....Pissed lost over 16300 points, I've been trying to get this rectified for over a month and a half now. I'll be boycotting Save on Foods until they rectify this...I'm so choked...I'm not even going to get my prescriptions drugs filled at Save on Foods anymore...I'll be moving on.
