  • Djoser's hypostyle hall is where Imhotep (who later appeared in a Hollywood film) invented stone column architecture. Note the "engaged" columns seen here. Not much later, the people of Kmt (ancient Egypt) learned how to make the columns free standing. Much later, the Greeks learned how to use this architectural style, now simply called "classical". It was invented here first.
