U.S. Route 50 (John Mosby Highway) (Lenah, Virginia)

U.S. Route 50 is a major, transcontinental east-west U.S. numbered highway crossing the middle of the United States. It runs from Sacramento, California to Ocean City, Maryland. In much of Virginia it is an important route connecting Clarksburg, West Virginia, through Winchester, Fairfax, and Arlington to downtown Washington, D.C. and on towards Annapolis, Maryland. It is an arterial highway for much of it's route, but includes rural two-lane sections around Middleburg, and becomes a major urban thoroughfare in Fairfax. Approaching Washington, D.C., inside the Beltway, it is an important alternative route to Interstate 66, which has HOV and commercial vehicle restrictions. This section also has some limited access portions and grade separations.
