U.S. Route 21 is a (historically major) north-south U.S. numbered highway in the eastern United States. It runs from Hunting Island, South Carolina to Wytheville, Virginia. It originally continued north to Cleveland, Ohio, but was truncated with the construction of Interstate 77. In Virginia it is a two-lane road between Independence and Wytheville serving regional traffic.
