Ahmad bey Aga oglu street (Shusha)
Street named after Ashot Bekor in the city of Shushi. After the occupation of the city by the Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem, it was renamed into st. Ahmed bey Aga oglu.
Ashot Hmayak Gulyan, nicknamed Bekor (1959-1992) - the national hero of Armenians, participant in the liberation of the city of Shushi in 1992. Ashot Gulyan was described as "master with golden hands" by contemporaries, he owned many crafts: he worked as a tailor, builder, car driver, locksmith and was a great patriot. With the assistance of his fighting friends, he made homemade grenades and grenade launchers. From the first days he joined the national liberation struggle of the Artsakh Armenians. He participated in many battles, received many shrapnel wounds, for which his comrades nicknamed him "Shard" (Armenian Bekor). Participated in the capture of Shushi and the storming of Ivanyan (Khojaly). He took part in most of the battles fought on the territory of Artsakh: in Askeran, Hadrut, Shaumyan, Karin-Tak, Shushi, Berdzor, Martakert, Ivanyan (Khojaly). His commanding talent shone especially during the operation to capture Shushi in 1992. His company was the first to enter Shushi.
He died heroically in the battle for the village of Drmbon (near Mardakert) on August 24, 1992.
