Interstate 20 runs from west Texas to South Carolina. At an interchange with I-10 in a remote area of west Texas (near Kent, TX), I-20 begins its trek eastward. It passes through Midland and Odessa, then on to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex (where it runs on the south side of both cities). It takes traffic through Shreveport, LA; Jackson, MS; and Birmingham, AL. It continues east through Atlanta, GA and Columbia, SC. I-20 ends at I-95 exit 160B (I-20 exit 141) west of Florence, SC.

Interstate 59 starts in Slidell, LA and ends in Wildwood, GA (near Chattanooga, TN). In Slidell, I-59 begins where I-12 meets I-10. I-59 goes northeast then around Hattiesburg, MS and toward Meridian, MS. I-59 joins I-20 outside Meridian and they run together for a little over 150 miles to Birmingham, AL. I-59 continues northeast while I-20 bends to the east. I-59 is in Georgia for only a short time where it ends at I-24 near Wildwood, GA.

US Highway 11 begins at US 90 on the east side of New Orleans (east of Interstate 510). It crosses Pontchartrain and parallels I-59 to Meridian where it joins I-59 for only about two miles. US 11 continues to parallel I-59 until I-59 ends at I-24. US 11 goes through Knoxville, TN, then on to Roanoke, VA. It continues northeast to Harrisburg, PA and into New York. It roughly follows the northern shore ending at the Canadian border in Rouses Point, NY.
