Apple Valley Country Store is located in the midst of picturesque orchards, forests and farmlands in Hood River, Oregon. With snow-capped peaks of Mt. Hood to the south, Mt. Adams to the north, hand-painted signs advertising 4 lb. apple pies, tire swings, and petting goats -- it’s a setting right out of a Norman Rockwell painting.

The White family has been producing a line of culinary products that feature the homemade goodness, fresh foods and family recipes handed down in their family.

The Canning Kitchen produces over 50 unique flavors of fruit jams, pepper jellies, syrups and pie fillings, many of which are Sugar Free. Over the years, these thick fruit preserves, coupled with their unique flavor combinations have captured the attention of Sunset, Gourmet, Bon Appetit, the NY Times and Food Network.

The store shelves feature fragrant fruit pies, flaky apple dumplings, crispy turnovers, and bubbling hot cobblers topped with ice cream.

Apple Valley also has an old fashioned BBQ picnic every weekend from July through October, from 11 am to 6 pm. A northwest twist on traditional BBQ features cherry-wood smoked ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, chicken or polish dogs, all served with homemade Pear Coleslaw and Apple Cider Baked Beans.
