WWF-Russia, Far Eastern Branch performs in Evreiskaya Autonomous, Chitinskaya and Amurskaya oblasts; Khabarovskii and Primorskii krais with main goal – to preserve unique biodiversity and introduce sustainable nature use in the south of Russian Far East, the exclusive territory of Russia according to the number of rare and endangered species of flora and fauna.

In 1994 WWF started its first project in the Russian Far East. It aimed to safe Amur tiger and its habitat. One of the priorities in that project was establishment of antipoaching brigades, patrolling in the habitat of endangered wild cat.
Amur tiger remains to be a priority of Far Eastern Branch. Nevertheless, the number of activities is significantly extended.

WWF-Russia, Far Eastern Branch has large programs: Forest Program, Biodiversity Conservation Program and Amur Program.
