house, historic landmark
Originally named Quinta Las Delicias. Property of Rosalia Abreu, of the Abreu family in Cuba, who helped finance the war against Spanish crown. At one time, Rosalia was married to a doctor who was Louis Pasteur's assistant in France. She later divorced him, returned to Cuba, and settled at this property. She was one of the pioneers in raising monkeys, and became an authority in the subject. She had several monkeys living in this farm. Rosalia passed away in the early XX century. Her finca has been the subject of many urban legends.
