Friends the Hanumanamatti village is dream of Late Shri K. F. Patil, Former Minister of Karanataka who born in Kakol village of Ranebennur Taluk. He dreamed of making Hanumanamatti a model village under "Grama Seva Mantapa" scheme. To provide a education to childrens of surronding villages of Hanumanamatti (viz Kakol, Kajjari, Asundi, Hulihalli etc), he established a The Model Higher Secondary School during 1970's. I did my high school education from this school. Hanumanamatti name came because of Lord Hanuman temple at the top of hillocks. Hanuma+matti, in Kannada matti means small hill station. This place also has "Agriculture Research Center". Late Shri K F Patil was a freedom fighter. Under his leader ship Fredom fighters (his friends) my father Late Shri Sanningappa Kudarihal, My uncle Late Shri Sanganabasppa, Late Shri Muruleppa Malagi of Kakol village and others from Kajjari, Asundi, Motebennur and Havanur villages have faught with britishers during quit India movement.

It was interesting to read that you studied in the Hanumanamatti school. I am Shri K.F. Patil's daughter Arunaraje Patil. I live in Mumbai and visit Hanumanamatti & Ranebennur from time to time. By chance I came upon what you have shared about Hanumanamatti. Which village were you from? Are your folks still there? I would love to hear more.
