Hialeah is a large city with a well established cultural character, containing a diverse population from all over Latin America and the Caribbean. The city has been well known for its Cuban community since the late 60's and early 70's. Today the city is more diverse and known for its multi-cultural population from not only Cuba but all over the Caribbean, north and south America, and other smaller communities from around the world.

  • Memories galore! I remember when Miami Springs HS (Class of 1990) had to share with Hialeah High because of the asbestos problem in Miami Springs. I used to go fishing a lot in the canals for large-mouth bass, peacock bass, crappie, etc. I did plenty of this back in 1992 when Hurricane Andrew paid us a visit. Back in those days we'd ride around town on our 3-wheeled ATVs all day with no problem. How about National Skipping Day? That was a classic!
  • Hialeah is a very good city in Florida.
  • There is a good philatelic society here in Hialeah run by a wonderful Brulé Indian that has wonderful tête-bêches.
