Previously a unique A-frame railroad drawbridge on the Penns Grove Secondary. Upgraded for automatic operation.

The bridge was built by the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1873.

On November 30, 2012, the bridge suffered severe damage after one of the abutments collapsed, causing the swing span to buckle and half a dozen tanker cars to derail and fall into the Mantua creek. Temporary repairs were made before the bridge was replaced by a brand new vertical lift span.

Bridge is now an interlocking at the southern end of the signaled Penn's Grove Branch.
