Former home of physicist Edward W. Morley, known for the Michelson–Morley experiment and for his work on the atomic weights of hydrogen and oxygen. Morley lived in the house from its construction in 1906 until his death in 1923. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975 and is also designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark.
