Nearby tiny St. Paul's Catholic Church, located on the east side of Fulford Harbour, is the oldest church on the island. It was built between 1880 and 1885 using stone and other materials salvaged from the Butter Church in Vancouver and ferried over Sansum Narrows in Aboriginal war canoes.
