Abandoned Sacramento Northern Railway (SN). The SN line crossed from south to north underneath the Union Pacific (former SP) and BNSF (former AT&SF) lines. Trains going from San Francisco/Oakland to Sacramento took the east leg of the wye to the former location of the ferry landing 'Mallard'. Development has obliterated the site of the abandoned landing. The ferry 'Ramon' transported trains across the Sacramento River to the ferry landing 'Chipps' on Chipps Island. Trains going to Pittsburg would continue east at the location of the wye. The Western Railway Museum in Rio Vista Junction (east of Fairfield, CA) has preserved a portion of this line to Sacramento and operates restored electric streetcars and interurbans.
