On July 30th 2009 the Double Tree Hotel will officially become the UMass Lowell Inn and Conference Center. The University bought it for 15 million dollars. It will be used for student housing and will host academic conferences and major events.

  • Wasn't this a Sheraton once upon a time? I visited Lowell in 1994 and stayed downtown near here.
  • It was originally a Hilton and then became a Sheraton. It has been a Doubletree for at least 10 years or so.
