Chongkham is a small town in Namsai district of Arunachal Pradesh, situated on National Highway 15. Chongkham is dominated by Buddhist people of different tribes. In Khamti language, "Chong" means Temple, and "Kham" means Gold. There are two / three golden Buddhist Temple in the town. Name of the town derives from the Golden Temple or Golden Pagoda.
