The Sfantul Nicolae Domnesc church was built in the period of June 1st 1491 - August 10th 1492 under the rule of Ştefan the Great (ruler of Moldavia, 1457-1504), in a distinctly Moldavian style with Moldavian architecture. The Sfantul Nicolae Domnesc church is the oldest standing church in Iaşi.
