Old "Severn View" motorway services

This used to be the motorway services. When the M4 moved south over the new bridge, this was sold off and the services moved inland a bit.

What a shame - the place had a fantastic view of the Severn and the Severn Bridge.

This was also where Richey James Edwards, a member of the Manic Street Preachers left his car in 1996 and mysteriously disappeared, the most likely story is that he committed suicide off the Severn Bridge.

The building is still there but is now owned by some company. There is a travel hotel nearby though. Have to go there myself one morning and walk to the view..... bet some jobsworth security person would appear though.
