The Danish Tower is one of four residential towers of the Royal Castle on Wawel Hill. Located at the east wing of the residence.
It was built by order of King Ladislaus Jagiello at the end of the fourteenth century in the sixteenth century, was included in the sphere of the Renaissance castle. In later centuries worked up several times (most recently in 1922 - 1924). This is thee tower in that lived in 1424 the Danish king Erik of Pomerania, who came to the coronation of Sophia, the fourth wife of Jagiello.
