Grosse Point Light Station is one of only nine National Historic Landmark Lighthouses in the US. The tower stands 113 feet tall with 141 steps leading to the lantern room which houses a second-order Fresnel lens. Built in 1873, it is an important part of Chicago's Maritime heritage.
