Galera is a town and a municipality in the north of the province of Granada, in Andalusia (Spain, Europe). It is part of the Huéscar region and the tourist area known as the Altiplano de Granada (shared with the Baza region) and belongs to the judicial district of Huéscar. In addition, it is also part of the association of municipalities of the Huéscar region and since 2020 it is also part of the well-known Geopark of Granada (also called Geopark of the Quaternary Valleys of the North of Granada). The town is located about 150 km from the provincial capital, Granada, about 7 km from the regional capital, Huéscar, and about 40 km from the capital of the Altiplano of Granada, Baza.
