Rebuilt by METRA in the Mid-90's resulting in the closure of the modern CNW tower. Junction between the METRA CNW UP West Trunk and the UP freight connection down the old Panhandle Line. Also connection to CNW division maintenance shops. The Metra station is located within interlocking limits.
