Loxahatchee Groves, Florida is a town in Palm Beach County. Loxahatchee Groves was the name of a large citrus grove and packing house that started farming in the area in 1917. Residents slowly moved to the area over the years, as it is one of the last rural areas in the county, as evidenced by it's motto: “Loxahatchee:Love It, and Leave It Alone”.
The town was incorporated on November 1, 2006; the town is bounded on the east by Royal Palm Beach, on the south by Wellington and on the west and north by The Acreage. It has an area of approximately 12.5 square miles and an estimated population of more than 3,000.
