  • Years ago on this site there was the Virginian Theater and Drive-In. Once the newer theaters in Rt. 3 Central Park development and Southpointe development in Massaponax were in full swing, the Virginian theater began to fade. The newer theaters offered more amenities and a wider selection of movies. For a time, the Virginian theater became "the dollar theater", and even offered a "quarterback night" where the admission price was reduced by a quarter. However, maintenance and the overall condition of the theater required it to close.
