Band on the Wall is a live music venue. This Victorian market pub has played host to live music for as long as living memory. The name came from a nickname used because the band played from a large shelf at the back of the venue. Many of the greatest names in Jazz, Reggae and world music have passed through as well as notable Manchester bands such as The Fall, Joy Division, Buzzcocks and Frantic Elevators (later Simply Red)
