The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre - Scotland's main conference and concert venue. Built in 1985 on reclaimed land - the old Stobcross Quay had been filled in during the 1960s for the construction of the Clydeside Expressway.

Upon its completion, the building was quickly nicknamed "The Big Red Shed" - now redundant as it has since been repainted battleship grey. The complex has since grown to include the Clyde Auditorium (aka "Armadillo") in 1998, and the new Scottish Hydro Arena, currently under construction as of 2011.
