  Jeevan beema nagar is an extention developed by the LIC of India.Most of the buildings are constructed by them, the earliest in the year 1976.The buildings are classified as A,B,C,....P types according to their architectural types.A type is unique and is modelled by the famous archetict CharlesKorea.In fact it is a favoured destination for the architecture students.houses are oriented north- south(god save vasthu!)so as to get sun light all through the day,the three tiered buildings get adequate sun light and ventilation.Most of the houses are departmental Quarters for KPWD,DOS,BHEL,LIC officers.The LIC office building,the watertank,temple-church plaza are the land marks,Though inhabited by government servants it has no public park.All civic amenity sites are alloted otherwise.REcent buildings are sold to General public.The 10th main road is slowly metamorphosising in to up market street while the neighbouring Thippasandra is already a busy commercial street.As a resident of this place for 30 long years I am a witness of all the changes in this remote desolate place with only one bus plying to and fro.sheets of winter gale sweeping from the Airport direct over vaccant sitesin 1978 to the presnt busy and hot extension.The Metro at CMH road portends many more changes
