The history of Cross-In-Hand roundabout at A5 is pretty recent.

The A4303 was originally the A427 that ran from A5 to Corby through Market Harborough.

The stretch from the M1 to Market Harborough has become the A4304.

The reclassification of the A427 between Cross-In-Hand and Market Harborough was between 1996 and 1999. The stretch from Market Harborough to Corby still remains as the A427 today.

  • Some useless tagging here, A5 closed ????, yes it is closed for road works but it doesnt have permanent roadworks !!!!, also if you click on view then select hybrid it shows you the roads names & numbers anyway, hence this tag is useless
  • Yeah thanks alot!! I have just edited this section to make it much better.
