  • everthing's not so cheap......... its other was round........... hypercity is the most expensive of the lot........ things are overrated........ and on top of that u will pay VAT........ its because ppl from intelenet have invested money in it........

  • It's a good idea to purchase branded food items with marked MRPs. Most of the other unbranded items are usually sold at a higher rate (don't fall for the discount spin) and are sometimes of an inferior quality. Fruits and vegetables are also much more expensive than buying from your local fruit-vendor in the marketplace despite Hypercity being a hyper mart. The non-vegetarian section is where you should usually be careful. I have had 3 personal experiences as well as that of people who have told me, where the chicken was a few days old (and partly spoitly) and yet re-marked with the current date. Needless to say, I don't purchase any of those from here anymore. However, the Management is co-operative and willing to exchange the goods if a valid receipt is produced along with the defective item. Please do refer to the official return/refund policy of the market to be on the safer side. Also in a majority of the cases, the attendants are helpful and cheerful. In all it is a pleasant place to do your grocery shopping as long as you are alert and conscious of what you are purchasing.
