  • Bansalan is located near at the foot of Mt. Apo where the source of income is vegetable production. It is sad to have a place suitable for food production not being supported by the local authorities in terms of trading and irrigation system. There is enough water but the source is being used by those people who are financiers and traders who can afford to provide a pipes for their own private consumption. Farmers are being drowned by these traders to loan from them making some money out of the big interest for the loan and constraining their products to sell only to the traders whom they got their loans. Traders also take control of the prices lower than the prevailing market prices. These observations are also true with the other places concerning vegetable production. If one of you from the local authorities or national irrigation administration know the place sitio balutakay, brgy. managa, banasalan, davao del sur. Help the farmers from this place, pay a visit and see the situation. this place is also a very good potential for tourism industry. thanks for your concerns!
  • Bansalan celebrates the feast day of the Immaculate Conception every December 8.
