Previously a private sheep farm that sold small plots of land to individuals for shacks (holiday homes)from the 1960s onwards,and ran sheep between the shacks. Marks Landing is now owned collectivly by the shack owners with individuals owning only the land their shack is on and collectively owning the rest of the property.
