You can drive out to and onto the beach on this paved road just north of Las Higuarillas. Beware of the potential of getting stuck in the soft sand at the end of the road. The number of people and cars on Sunday afternoon here rivals that of Daytona, yet 24 hours on Monday it is deserted. Strange to look horizon to horizon on the coast and see no buildings or people
