The area where Aker Yards is setting up their shipyard facility to construct Offshore & Specialized Vessels. The yearly output is planned to be approx 3-4 ships when up and running.
The yard started building the first of a series of 6 Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels (AHTS) of type AH-08CD in the beginning of 2008. The yard is currently manning up and is seeking qualified personnell, in order to set up a first class yard based on their European model.
