Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao (MMCM), a Mapua school, is a new subsidiary of Mapúa Malayan Colleges Inc. (MMCI), located beside Matina Town Square along Douglas McArthur Highway, was recently incorporated with an authorized capital of P650 million and a paid-up capital of P462.5 million.
MMCI, which is under a Yuchengco-led holding company for the group’s business in the education and technology sector, iPeople, Inc. (IPO), has two other wholly-owned schools: Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna and Mapúa Malayan High School of Science.
Aside from being the home to a lot of Davao City’s pride, such as Mt. Apo, vast plantations and garden resorts, top-quality orchid species, and durian, MMCM will definitely be an addition to the vibrant community of the town and generate promising possibilities to the area in the years to come.
Engineering, Architecture, and I.T. college programs, and graduate courses will be offered to Davaoeños and residents of neighboring provinces. To support the agricultural sector in Mindanao, an Agricultural Engineering track will be integrated in Civil Engineering program.
Philippine studies with specialization in Mindanao studies will also be offered to help students fully understand, integrate with, and contribute to the community.
Furthermore, MMCM will accept senior high school students as well in accord to the implementation of the K to 12 Program.
The construction of the school facilities will start in the first quarter of 2017 and will be in full operations starting July 2018.
