Not to be confused with Shangri La Tanjung Aru resort, this is a more modest establishment located next to Bandaran Berjaya in the older part of the town. You get your usual aircon, hot water and TV. There's the main cinema nearby, and Centre Point shopping centre is the closest of the big 3 shopping areas though no single spot is really more than 15 minutes walk away. At night Bandaran Berjaya does offer some 'dodgier' establishments but generally speaking the area is pretty safe. The hotel has been around a long time, so they must be doing something right.
