The Malayan Colleges Laguna (MCL or simply Malayan) is a private, non-sectarian, and wholly owned subsidiary of Mapúa Institute of Technology along with the other subsidiaries like the Mapúa IT Center in Makati City and the Malayan High School of Science in Manila.
MCL is among the first major institutions to branch out from the National Capital Region and set up campus in the burgeoning Southern Luzon, bringing along its best practices in education management and implementation. Intended to extend the quality of education Mapúa has been known for, MCL has since set its sights on being a center of excellence for science and technology education in the region, with its excellent facilities, technologically advanced and information technology-integrated curricula.
With 17 baccalaureate programs, MCL has five degree-offering colleges, namely the Mapúa Institute of Technology at Laguna, the Mapúa-PTC College of Maritime Education and Training, the E.T. Yuchengco College of Business, the College of Information Technology and the College of Arts and Sciences. Currently, 45 percent of its students are enrolled in engineering programs.

History:
2005 Groundwork started on a six-hectare land that was acquired in Laguna.
Jan 23, 2006 Maiayan Colleges Laguna (informally referred to as MCL) acquired its corporate personality following its registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Nov 2006 The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) gave the approval for MCL to offer 8 programs of study in Engineering, Information Technology, and Business.
June 18, 2007 A historic event marking the start of MCL’s first academic year.
January 23, 2023 MCL officially changed its name to Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna as part of MCL's 17th founding anniversary.
