Upper Franklin Reservoir (Los Angeles)

This reservoir is the "fishin' hole" used in the opening credits of the Andy Griffith Show, and has been featured as a setting in many movies and TV shows. The lake is in Franklin Canyon Park, which is part of the Santa Monica Mountains National Receation Area. It offers, hiking, picnicking, a nature center and a variety of programs conducted by park docents.
