A monument for the foot prints of Lord Rama. According to Hindu mythology Lord Rama (aka Ramar and Raman; an incarnation of Lord Vishnu) while looking for his wife Sita (aka Seethai, Seetha) who had been kidnapped by a demon king Ravana and taken prisoner in Sri Lanka came to Vedaraniam and climbed to this elevation and searched to see whether there was a way to go across the sea. The monument marks this location and is about 50 feet high from the main sea level. A tourist destination.
