Martin Brod is small village with two rivers on territory, beautiful Una and wild Unac. Like a jewell in Bosnian geography, Martin Brod is facing danger of building hydrocentral powerplant and unnatural accumulative lake, which will change local climate and destroy all beautiful flora and fauna.
Famous Unska regata is organized every year starting from Martin Brod and collecting few thousand visitors, usually sports people and people who are fighting for protection of nature treasures, like Una, Unac and Martin Brod.
This place is fisherman's paradise.
If you travel to Marting Brod, get a car because busses are pretty rear and train is not functioning, yet.

Famous persons: Miljuš Veljko Veso (1942-), judge and lawyer, ex member Goverment of Republic Srpska (ministry of work and social matters), now enjoys in Martin Brod rivers, but is active as a hard fighter - protector of untouched nature in region. He is against building of hydrocentral powerplant and unnatural accumulative lake, which Bosnian goverment is planning, because it will destroy this Bosnian jewel, Una. Still, fight won't be fair and fight can be lost. If you are member of nature protectors, please react, make people know that this disaster can happen very son.
