  • Karumandurai is a best village.My uncle was working teacher in karumandurai government tribal residental school.My uncle was first working in Kunnur village GTR school . Kunnur is 15km distance from karumandurai.It is very nice and very cooling hills area.Kunnur height 3600ft.

  • It is beautiful hill station which is famous for nurseries, fruit farm. It is situated aroun 65kms from salem in that stretch 10kms are hill road. Once you this small town we won't feel as hill station because surroundings 5kms not much slope area. From here you can reach kallakuruchi around 50kms but that road has full slope and few hairpin turn. On this road we can see small lake,periyar water falls on road itsel and go further i side forest by walk you can reacb megam falls as well. I'd studied GTR(Govt. Tribal Residential )secondary school only. Now iam working in London as software engineer. It is worth watching for one weekend trip

  • It is such a beautiful hill station which is famous for nurseries, fruit farm / Orchards. It is a one of largest in South Asia. This Fruit Orchards around 1054 acre's area and it has different varieties of fruits. It is situated around 65 kms from Salem new bus stand in that stretch 10 kms are hill road. Once you reached, this small town we won't feel as hill station because surroundings 5 kms not much slope area. From here you can reach Kallakuruchi around 50 kms but that road ghats road with few hairpins, ups and downs with single lane in few places. On this road we can see small lake, Periyar water falls on road itself and go further inside forest by walk you can reach Megam falls. I studied in GTR HSS(Govt. Tribal Residential ) Secondary School Karumandurai. Now am working in London as Software Engineer. It is worth watching for one weekend trip.
