Also known as the Battle of Econochaca, fought on December 23, 1813 was a battle between the United States militia and the Red Stick Creek Indians during the Creek War. The Creeks encampment was overrun and some 20-30 Creeks were killed. The majority evacuated. Ultimately with the Treaty of Fort Jackson (August 1814), the Creek confederacy cede more than 21 million acres of land from what became southern Georgia and central Alabama.
