It was at this point that the ATSF Irvine spur turned to the southeast, headed for Frances (now known as Northwood) and Kathryn. The spur served the former citrus packing houses of the Irvine Citrus Association, Frances Citrus Association and Irvine Valencia Growers. At one point, another line branched off here to serve the Goldenwest Citrus Association packing house in Tustin.
