  • About Ugrasen Nagar: Ugrasen Nagar, named after Mr. Ugrasen Sharma, is one of the best colonised place in Rishikesh City. Earlier there were more than 100 plots ranging from 200 sq yrds. to 400 sq yrds. But now they are reduced to about 70 as rest of the area is now property of Rishi Ganga Apartments. Ugrasen Nagar, is just 3 kms. far from city. It is connected to National Highway. It is the only colony in the city, which is formed in an orgranised way. There are five blocks in the colony named A,B,C,D and E. The road in the colony is about 30 ft. and there are two big open spaces, where no plotting is done. They are kept open for park purpose. And these open spaces are being utilised by the citizens of the Ugrasen Nagar, in form of play ground (for kids), parties and functions (viz. Lohri, Holi, Dusshera, Jagran and Marriages). It might be the only colony of city where 50% of the citizens are from Indian Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Limited Family, 35% are Doctors + Engineers + Lecturers + Teachers, and rest are business men. In the North of this there is the mountain of Holy Goddess Kunjapuri, and God Shiva is in the East of it. These are eaily visible from any part of the colony. Nodoubt this is the best place in city to live.
