This store was built as a Buttrey Food & Drug but closed down and sold to Albertsons in the early 1990s (the remaining Buttrey stores in Washington would sell out soon after). In June 2017 the store was renamed to Safeway to consolidate Albertsons' store brands in town (after a remodel). Prior to the rebranding, this was the last Albertsons remaining in town after the store on 40th closed in early 2017.
