The Eagle Rock (Pasadena, California)

In profile, this sandstone outcrop resembles the head of an eagle. A good viewing angle is from the eastbound lanes of the Ventura Freeway (route 134) which is adjacent to the rock.

Another opinion is that the shadow cast on the face of the rock from the outcropping resembles an eagle in flight. This is best viewed at midday from the onramp onto the eastbound 134 from Figueroa Ave.
