Hoechang-gun is a county in South Pyongan Province, North Korea. Before 1945, this area was part of Songchon County. In 1952, five townships from Songchon County (Sungin-myon, Taegok-myon, Rungjung-myon, and Kuryong-myon), and one from Koksan (Pongmyong-myon), were split from their counties and merged to form this county.
